Southern Chevrolet  was born on April 13, 1991 through the vision of Mr. Sandy Sansing of Pensacola, Florida and Mr. Mike Werneth of Spanish Fort, Alabama. The two men wanted to provide a quality product and serve the community. They soon outgrew the original location and carried out their plans to build a new and modern automotive dealership.

On December 17, 1994, they began operations from their new location in Foley, Alabama. Since that time Southern Chevrolet has worked very hard to promote and support South Baldwin County by sponsoring countless youth and high school sports associations, civic groups, and fundraising organizations, as well as many other community efforts. Mike Werneth, who runs the day-to-day operations, is committed to serving the county that he grew up in. Southern Chevrolet is a proud organization that understands the principles of success and will continue long into the future.
